The Ultimate Hunting E-Bike

The Ultimate Hunting E-Bike

Mountain Bikes are an incredible (but underutilized) tool for hunters, and when you add some electricity to them they are even better (way, way better). Aside from Western hunting, they can pull double-duty getting deer hunters into treestands scent and sound free. Turkey hunters can forget "run-and-gun techniques" covering way more miles "pedaling and gunning."

The predator-afflicted can make stands for miles across the desert without the need of firing up a noisy vehicle. There is little doubt that e-bikes are vehicles of many applications, and they cost a fraction of their electric-powered counterparts.

Safariland Patrol Bike

Safariland partnered with Kona to create the Patrol police bike. We thought its features would ideally serve the hunter and had it custom-painted brown for better concealment. The basic bike features a Kona Racelight Aluminum 7005 frame, hydraulic disc brakes, RockShox front forks, Shimano 30-speed drivetrain, and a solid rear rack. Best of all, it sports 29-inch wheels for increased off-road capabilities over rough terrain and obstacles.

Garmin 650t GPS

Find a trail, mark your camp, or take a hi-res picture. The 650t features a 3-inch sunlight readable touchscreen that is bright under all conditions and has the ability to share waypoints with other wireless Garmin devices.

Montana Scabbard

While a gun can be mounted across the handlebars, you will rue the decision on a tight trail. A more secure position is in a Montana Scabbard. Constructed of tough ABS plastic, this unit attaches quickly and can hold a gun, bow, or fishing rod. It doesn't waste weight or size and can be adapted to a variety of bikes and other off-road vehicles.

LED Lenser H14.2 Light

Wear it as a headlamp or attach it to the handlebars (with an optional bike mount) to create a 350-lumen headlight. The beam adjusts from flood to spot and runs on four AA batteries. It boasts a five-year warranty to back up its superior construction.

Bionx Electric System

A mountain bike is fantastic, but adding a BionX S350 DX Electric system can make it better. The 350-watt motor is located in the rear hub and is powered by the Li-Ion battery pack mounted on the frame. The S350 DX system only weighs 16 pounds and can provide a range up to 65 miles. The battery can quickly detach for non-motorized areas.
